I want to thank everyone who showed up to the meeting on Sunday! I felt that the meeting was very productive and I think the group will be heading in the right direction now! Below are the notes!
1. Defined the area that we consider NEPA and are from which we are willing to accept new members. 1 hour radius from Scranton is the new rule. Any current member that falls outside that area may still be a member as long as they understand that this means traveling to in person team meetings.
2. Create better paths of communication for the team. We will do this by creating a team e-mail newsletter, improving the blog, and creating a google group (which will allow members to get email updates on posts as frequently as the wish).
3. Define a list of responsibilities within the team, we are asking that members take over some of these. When the team responsibilities are broken down into individual tasks (someone organizes the meeting, someone watches over the blog, someone to write the newsletter) it will be easier to get more done!
4. Creating a group presence in the community. We need to participate as a group in activities!
5. Monthly etsy chat meetings & Bi-Monthly in person meetings. We will be setting up set dates (ie. the 2nd tuesday of every month at 8pm) I am looking for feedback as to times and days that work best for the team.
Ok. Basically those are the most important things right now. I want to get these things rolling before we take on anymore. I will make a separate post tomorrow with a list of responsibilities I need members to volunteer for. Also some of you will be getting an etsy convo asking for your email address for the team newsletter. I do have most of your addresses but am missing a few.
If you have any ideas, suggestion, etc. please let me know by reply to this post or emailing me. Also this is a pretty large overall with major changes, so if for any reason you feel you can no longer be a part of the team you may contact me directly.
Thank you so much!
